Ruby has always been blissfully normal - until a black robot the size of a decent house kidnaps her from university and demands to have her silver bracelet. Whisked off to a secret special forces base by a robot-rescuer, Ruby discovers that her inherited bracelet is actually an ancient relic from the planet Cybertron, and it's alien energy has fused with her life. Optimus activates the bracelet, and Ruby undergoes an astonishing change which just might save the universe.... This is part one of Ruby's story. It's been a year since Optimus Prime left Earth. Ruby is giving 'normal' a go, even though she is anything but. The world is changing. Alien robots are flocking to their planet in droves. When a dying transformer forces a token upon Cade that Ruby can't touch, she is dragged back into the never-ending war between worlds. The tables turn, and Ruby must work out if she is saving the ones she loves, or dooming them all.
