|| Highest Ranks: #7 Short Story, #130 Fiction, #1 Journal || Hunter Ryan finds something when hiding in the old Janitor's closet at school. Something that doesn't belong to him, and something he most definitely shouldn't touch, because that would be a complete invasion of privacy. "So why not find out? What harm could it possibly do?" ☆☆☆ By the way, just clarifying right now that this is FICTIONAL, not my diary, it's a story about a boy who finds a girl's diary [Cover credit to @weightingold!] Also, we won People's Choice in the 2016 Watty Awards, thank you so much! ❤

Riverly trains as an apprentice healer. Every day, she works tirelessly to mend the broken and bloodied Imperial soldiers who protect the Empire from the vicious forces of a radical cleric. And, every day, the war chews up and spits out the lives of conscripts. When a soldier appears in need of saving, Riverly's skills and quick thinking are not enough. Exhausted and frustrated by yet another loss, she makes a rash decision that changes the trajectory of his and her fates: She accidentally resurrects him from the afterlife. The reward for her efforts? The soldier orders Riverly by sword-point to meet the man commanding the Imperial forces, the Lord High Commander, a man known for his cunning and brutal tactics. What Riverly finds in the mysterious commander, however, is something both familiar and treacherous. Where she can snatch life away from the grip of death, he can call upon the deadly shades of the netherworld to strip men of their souls. Riverly now must make a choice: Enter the Lord High Commander's service and win the war, while risking her humanity and freedom, or flee and allow the shadow of death to grow across the Empire and endanger everyone she loves. Brenorra Warring's father is going crazy. That's the only conclusion Bren can make when a fire destroys everything they own, and his answer is to take a job in the uncivilized Coalition Colonial Region on the other side of the ocean. Then disaster strikes again. Her father is lost at sea, and Bren is left with nothing but the clothes on her back, the things in her father's satchel, and the discovery that he has been lying about his reasons for leaving. When more of her father's secrets come to light, it becomes clear that someone powerful is killing innocent people to keep those secrets hidden - and they are hunting for Bren. As the only person alive who can figure out what her father knew, Bren winds up forming an alliance with two very different men. The first has been tasked with keeping her safe, and will do anything it takes to bring down the organization stalking her, no matter the cost. The other is a brilliant but icy Naval hero who has been branded a wanted man by the enemy. With time running out and danger rising, Bren must solve the trail of coded messages her father left for her and find the last piece of the puzzle before it falls into the wrong hands. **Featured on DARK FANTASY and ADULT FICTION reading lists** WARNING: EATING OR DRINKING WHILE READING THIS STORY IS HIGHLY INADVISABLE. Once Upon A Time, Good Omens, Monty Python, and Arrested Development had a back-alley three-way and birthed a fairytale. Gerald wasn't supposed to be stuck living seven centuries in the future. He definitely wasn't supposed to be "mentoring" The Dark Lord's progeny in the hopes that she would decide to save the world rather than destroy it. In fact, he wasn't even supposed to be named Gerald (the name of every other male in his family for three hundred years), because everyone assumed a weak-chinned, balding, forgettable man, who was just a magician, could never be who Geraldo The Foreshadower prophesied. But that's what assuming gets you, and here he was saddled with a fate he never asked for, in a time he didn't know, surrounded by people he didn't want to like, and he was out of Firewine AGAIN! The Dark Heir is a darkly satirical tale of assumptions, anti-heroes, and apocalypses, where the road to hell is actually a themed water-park slide covered in slightly less urine than a real one. It drops literary and film references faster than an NYC socialite drops names, and promises endless laughs - including, but not limited to, sad chuckles, guffaws, uncontrollable giggles at inappropriate moments, brays, barks, cackles, snorts, cachinnations, and the occasional howl (though that may be the Welsh Werewolves showing up unannounced). Consider yourself warned... Reviews: "Completely and adorably bonkers," says @floranocturna "Hilarious in every way. Even when I cringed, I laughed," says @LadySapphire2018 Winner of The Trident Awards

"The rain grew colder, the canopy enamoured and blushing even deeper shades of auburn and gold. The tension was growing and the entirety of the large ape colony knew that it would snap at a moment's notice. They were all waiting-- waiting for something to crumble." Greed, tyranny, bloodlust, betrayal. Mankind has done nothing more than pollute and poison what is rightfully ours. After an entire reset of the food chain, man has all but disappeared, all thanks to a human-made virus called the Simian Flu. Apes around the globe, in turn, have become advanced both cognitively and externally, adapting their own form of sign language, as well as learning to speak. The year is 2029. Krissa may very well be the only survivor. Will she manage to weather the trials and tribulations that come with living deep within the Oasis? Proud winner of the Trident Awards

Some fates are worse than death--survival is one of them. In the two hundred years since humanity left the Earth's surface to live in the sky, life on the ground faded to a myth, a tragic memory from which they severed themselves to survive. They floated above continents turned to sand and lands swallowed by the seas, watched storm after storm rage against their cities and their monuments until they broke apart the last vestiges of civilization in penance for generations of human greed. As a lightning harvester charged with flying her ship into these storms for energy, Raina has seen more of the planet than most. She has spent her entire life soaring above its craters and scars, studying the gaping wounds of human devastation, as she honed her skills and became the youngest captain in storm-chaser history. Her ship has flown for generations. Her skills are unparalleled. But none of that matters the day they go down. ~ Praise for Earth, After: "I'm so not ready for this ending. I will reread this for sure. It's honestly my favourite work on wattpad ever, and among my best reads in general, it's insane. I love your creativity!" "Sometimes tearing my eyes away from the page is torture. Gosh...!!!!" "This is literally a movie - the images are so clear!" "oh my god... it has been such a long adventure [...] Youve dried up your surviving characters until the very last drop before giving the end, and my, Im speechless. Out of this world." ~ Highest rank: #17 in Adventure 25/08/19 #21 in Science Fiction 16/11/19 #24 in Action 01/01/20 Trident Awards Winner Trident Awards Judges' Favourite Award The Aurora Awards 1st Place in Science Fiction Wattpad Chronicle monthly feature April 2020
