Jake Gallagher has always lead a particularly average life outside of the antics of his unconventional family. Average grades, average friends, and the average teenager's aversion to familial embarrassment, until his life takes a turn for the unexpected. Because sitting three rows and catercorner from Jake in his astronomy class is Skylar Glass. The insightful, attractive, interesting, starry-eyed juvenile delinquent, whose existence exceeds average in Jake's opinion. Skylar introduces Jake to the other side of life, gives him a new reason to look at the sky, and leaves a trail of stardust that prevents Jake's existence from ever being average again. ❇️ 2018 WATTYS WINNER! The Originals category ❇️ - "The Breakfast Club" meets "Nancy Drew" in this most unusual YA Mystery. SUMMARY: Five high school students, with little in common other than being descendants of the town founders, are forced to work on a history project together. But when their history project uncovers evidence of a long-buried town secret, the kids must piece together the clues behind their discovery before its legacy comes back to haunt them. ***** Using ACTUAL, archival material (some dating as far back as 1776), The Descendants weaves a tale of mystery and intrigue, constructed entirely from real photographs, documents, and snippets of history from a small, rural town in New Hampshire. What Dan Brown did with conspiracy theories in "The DaVinci Code" and Ransom Riggs did with historical photographs in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," I will attempt to do in "The Descendants," but with teen protagonists and the Cheshire County Historical Society. :-) Why? 'Cause I'm crazy like that! Yeah, I know...History?! Blah! But it actually turned out really fun! :-)

They are all innocent until proven guilty. Not me though, am a liar until proven honest and me being proven honest doesn't change anything either. I was a liar, I am a liar and I'll always remain a liar because it was me who invited him. I am THE slut, he's just an innocent guy who got distracted. ***** Everyone has a secret they need to live and share. After hearing mine, you would think I'd be more screwed up than I already am. Life is too short to waste by dwelling on your past and I've decided to take matters into my own hand. I've got a plan, a to-do list and I'll act on it. On my own terms and at my own pace. But then I met him. The saying is true. Everyone you meet has a purpose in your life. His was to make my life miserable. Or so I thought. He makes me feel the kind of things I never wanted to feel again. He makes me want the kind of things I could never have. You would think once struck by a hammer would be enough to teach me a lesson. But I am a glutton for punishment. I never learn. ***** "Why the hell am I stuck to this chair? Am I - Am I glued?" He growls and snaps his face towards me. I roll my eyes and cluck my tongue, "What did you expect after yesterday's scene, Mr. James? You know I'm not your normal chick who hangs on to every word you utter. You messed with the wrong girl and now you have got to suffer the consequences." SHE'S ABOUT TO PRANK "THE BAD BOY" OF THE SCHOOL, AND HIS REVENGE IS GOING TO BE OH SO GOOD... ***Author's Note: This is the kind of cliché fairytale we crave every once in a while, which restores our faith in Love and Humanity*** ***** Second place winner in "THE GOLDEN HEART AWARDS 2020" ***** Edited by - @Myst3ry007
