Cassie used to have a wonderful family until her parents died in a car crash. Her twin brother and little sister have been adopted by a mean woman who was all alone but left Cassie their. Soon a lovely couple (Charlotte and Bob Gordon) decided to try and ad adopted Cassie. For two weeks Cassie left her thongs untouched she didn't think the couple would what her just like all the other couple's. When the tw twins see who adopted Cassie brother and sister they start to worry. Cassie has a gut feeling that something weird is going to happen when the twins start to act weird. Reds and Froggy/Charlies daughter Violet travels through a magic mirror with her friends(the other land of stories charters kids). But little do they know the mirror didn't just bring them to New York it brought them back in time. The kids now have to help save New York and their parents they have to find a way home with out changing time.
