Demons have been known as evil for thousands of centuries - seemingly since the beginning of time. Nobody can remember a time when demons weren't considered evil, and nobody questioned it anyway. So the demons were trapped, locked away, under the world in a burning hellscape, left to fend after the bad souls when they died. But one day - a demon escaped. A demon was let loose into the world, and everybody knew it...they could sense it, stronger than ever, the presence of an underworld dweller on their Earth. So, as tensions ran higher than they ever had, the escaped demon hides away, secret, in a school, filled with creatures that could discover it at any moment. In this world, nobody was considered "safe" - and as Spes starts wondering if even her new friends could be trusted, it becomes clearer and clearer that the tension is only the beginning of the chaos that the escaped demon would create.
