A short story about the end of summer, road-trips to Georgia, and spending the weekend with your ex-boyfriend. I wrote this for practice and ended up liking it and now I am sharing it with you :) (there is some nsfw in this story but I didn't put a tw)

George, a struggling wall street nanny, has come to a roadblock as his latest family leaves him in the dust. While trying to cover the New York rent with his roommate, a hopeful NFL football draftee, he works odd nannying jobs throughout the city. After a lucky call, his roommate wins tickets to the two's favorite NFL team's playoff game. At the game George meets his American Football idol, Dream Taken, a recently divorced father of one son and millionaire Quarterback. Will George be at the right place at the right time to help out a struggling single parent, or will he fall fate to lust and unprofessional behavior getting him kicked from the profession entirely. Looking for an escape from his new life he runs into an old friend offering a small out. In the end will George pick the high life of expensive scotch or will he stay the path of street racing and Skids Read to find out. This is book 2 of Champagne Burnouts. Dream never thought he was incredible with children, but when a young girl with way too familiar brown eyes came up to him asking to help find her Dad, he of course had to help. Dream's world flipped upside down when the father turned out to be his ex-boyfriend who rejected his proposal four years ago and disappeared off the face of the planet. For so long, Dream assumed it was because he proposed to George too early. Because maybe 6 months was quite quick, but the years of pining and friendship seemed to justify it for him. He loved George. George loved him. They were soulmates if you believed in the thing. But George's biological daughter was four as well. Though he desperately refuses the conformities of modern novel tropes, George acknowledges he's just the same as every book character. A side character that is. Studying his way into writing a hit novel George has to master the ups and downs of his college life, overprotective roommate, and the friends with benefits he has going on with his best friend. Only problem is the line of feelings had been blurred years ago, and Dream's future lies between a pretty blondes watermelon flavored lips. Will George be able to skate past the due dates of writing or will he fall victim to the hockey captain once more? *** His brows furrow a bit but he seems to keep his cool when he asks, "can I still kiss you?"
