Amira, an 18 year-old girl, is comfortable and familiar with her day-to-day life. She lives with her mother, Zati, and younger brother, Zyy. Amira works at a book-store while her mom works at a thrift store; Zyy is an apprentice to a journalist. As lower middle-class citizens in the country of Brunei, they aren't unbeknownst to the issues in their country. One day, Amira is presented with the opportunity to potentially change her and her family's lives, not to mention several other ones. With the annoyingly handsome and irritatingly funny Prince Brunei by her side, Amira's simple life is transformed from books, hair knots, and sneakers, to gowns, jewels, and a ridiculous amount of ribbons.
