The annual Culling was upon their coven, and newborn Sebastian had been dreading it, until he saw her. Lucy wasn't supposed to have been there, to have been a part of it. There had always been something about her that had captured his eye, gravitated him toward her, and it was this that drove him to foolishly save her. They would simply have to deal with the consequences.

A physicist is contacted to offer his expertise in researching an ancient artifact found beneath the ice of Antarctica. Then, after figuring out how to turn it on, he is whisked away to another planet; one that is on the brink of death. He meets the local priestess, and the adventure begins.

So, you know those one direction fanfics where the reader gets sold to them? I wanted to do this but with a twist and the Condesce and the other high bloods/midbloods. Fair warning I did get this idea before I've gotten to the parts with the Condesce. Some parts may be mis characterization so I'm open to criticism when it comes to dialogue. Apart from that, since the others don't get much dialogue, I'll go off of head canons that seem most real to their character. This will be in second person point of view since it'll be an x reader kind of thing. Minimal shipping involved and some flirtatious comments every now and then. I'll try to keep the reader gender neutral.

A small portion of the human population has evolved one step further. These new humans are smarter and stronger but lack the emotional capacity that ordinary humans posses. A small band of these new humans have come together to cut down the old humans in an plan called 'The Culling'. However, they did not plan for a past failure of the organisation to become their greatest adversary - Galio Graham. As she and her newfound partner travel across England whilst trying to avoid the ill and becoming ill themselves, they're at a constant struggle to rectify the wrong whilst also trying to avoid the people who continue to pursue her.
