Bordeaux D. Lana is the captain of the Devil's Pirates. Upon the death of someone she loves at the Human Auctioning House in Sabaody Archipelago, she forms an alliance with the Heart Pirates as she is unable to fulfill her duty as captain. The Surgeon of Death is itching to slice her open. He's willing to do anything to get in her good side to achieve his goal. Is his morbid interest purely for medical purposes or is he trying to suppress a different kind of sentiment?
