Cerita ini mengisahkan kencan sehari Sakura Koji dan Maya. Sudah 3 tahun berlalu sejak kencan mereka yang dulu berakhir berantakan karena Maya tercebur di laut, yang disaksikan oleh Masumi Hayami. Setelah 3 tahun, apa yang telah terjadi antara mereka bertiga?

Ensues a series of trials and errors in which Masumi is dazzled into submission by Maya's genius while said genius learns that her fan smells delicious and is a tad childish. (According to Volume 10, Masumi was supposed to stay the entire weekend at his lake house, probably to help her safely rehearse the role...what if he had? Masumi lost hope: Maya will never forgive him. He decides that in order for her to be happy it is best if he lets his best friend, Hijiri Karato, take on his role as M. Purple Rose while he accepts an arranged mariage. But how long will this lie hold? How long until Maya finds out the truth ?
