Watching the show many times, including reading some comics about it, Y/N knows exactly what will happen and tragedy awaits for Korra and her friends. That's why she knows she can't just stand by and don't do nothing. She might don't know why she's brought in this world but she knows one thing. She will protect Korra and her friends no matter what. But what she didn't know her presence will change the plot completely.

At thirty years old, Korra has spent over a decade searching desperately for a way to reconnect with her past lives. Despite traveling to temples, meditating across spirit portals, and consulting spirits and sages, she has felt nothing but silence. The world's growing belief that she "broke" the Avatar Cycle leaves her convinced she has failed Aang's legacy.
