Diminishing Decay is the second story of the series, however, the first was a prequel so this can be read as a stand-alone story! This is a collaborative story about the hardships of MCR as they progress together as a band. The story is Frerard-oriented, going through the rise and fall of both Frerard and the band itself. He tried many ways to kill the Ways' parents but had failed so when Gerard's dad faked his death in a vampire/werewolf war while Mikey and Gerard were babies and secretly moved his family to New Jersey in the United States. Jared knows the Way brothers exist and still believes they are out there and he wants the family to be exterminated, since Gerard and Mikey hold something that no other vampire and werewolf holds. The pack of vampires that were sent by Jared, who are going after the Ways, turn out to be Avenged Sevenfold, trying to somehow lure the Way Brothers back to England, where the head vampire ruler of all vampires, Jared, awaits them. While the other pack, the werewolves, turning out to be Papa Roach, are also sent from the remaining wolf community after the Way Brothers to get them back to Italy, to train them as werewolves and make them forget about their partial vampire ways. Sweet little Frerard oneshot I wrote at the start of the year where Gerard and Frank are stargazing, which eventually turned into the current fanfic I'm working on. Also just wanted to say that this was the first time I ever wrote fanfiction, so if it's a bit cringey that's why. Anddd I've never actually read a oneshot before so it's probably not really formatted like a oneshot. Anyways, hope you enjoy :D
