The world is a dangerous place.
It's not a game, it's not fake, it's not a dream. In a world such as this, a person is expected to survive and fight for their life. They are asked to give it their all. It's tough, yes, the world is dangerous in its poisonous ways. People can be poisonous.
There could be an escape.
Summer vacation is a typical runaway for teenagers as they wrestle with the pressure of school, work, family, and life. Escaping from a place of terror, only to find yourself thrust back where you began. During traveling to Brazil, things goes wrong.
The plane ride gets rocky, shaking and trembling as it plummets toward the earth in a downward glide. They hold on for their lives as they try to douse their fear and anxiety. It swarms them, consuming them in the same manner the plane was swallowed by the waves.
Not all were meant to be.

Nadia wants to be free of her overly protective parents, sauntering down the streets of Brazil and surfing along the crystal blue waves. She began surfing at a young age, living in a place where the activity had to be done inside. Now, the waves of the ocean are her calling to everliving freedom.
Dante doesn't want to be in high school. He wants to spend his time helping the community and improving the lives of those around him. As the neighborhood volunteer, he wanted to dedicate his time to build tiny houses for the poor lives of the south.
Emerson can't wait to graduate. Her dreams of following in her piloting mother's footsteps are beginning to come true. She has learned to fly, and now will be off to college.
Vincent is struggling. He doesn't know who he is or where he belongs in this world. Where people of color are shunned, all while he's sorting out his feelings of loving men.
Sylvia lives for the rush of adrenaline. From playing basketball and being a cheerleader, she takes part in almost every school activity. But, she's holding onto a dark secret.
