After an incident in the late eighteen hundreds, you became immortal. Now, you have to live a life without love. You soon come across a very slender man and a few of his proxies. One in particular draws your attention.

"Sweetheart," His voice was low, an attempt at comforting you as he held your face. You turned away, flinching as his thumb ran circles on your cheek. "I'm not going to ever hurt you..." His voice was soft, but you knew better. God, you knew better. "I'm keeping you safe..." he murmured. "You make me feel ... like I'm getting better." "You'll be safe if you just stay with me..." Authors note: Chapters are written in long format, meaning this is going to read far more as a book. I update as much as I have time for, but in saying this, lots of editing and re-writing occurs and takes time.
