Love in the Rain Mia hurried down the cobbled streets of Paris, clutching her sketchbook to her chest as raindrops danced around her. She had forgotten her umbrella, but she didn't mind. The city was more beautiful in the rain, glistening under the streetlights, the scent of wet pavement and fresh coffee lingering in the air. As she turned the corner near the Seine, she crashed into someone-hard. Her sketchbook flew from her hands, landing in a puddle. "I'm so sorry!" she gasped, looking up. A pair of deep brown eyes met hers. The man standing before her had dark, tousled hair and a charmingly crooked smile. He bent down and picked up her sketchbook, carefully shaking off the water. "No harm done," he said, handing it back. Then he noticed the drawings inside-portraits of people, a sketch of the very street they stood on, and a half-finished sketch of a man's face. "This is incredible," he murmured, flipping through the pages. Mia blushed. "It's nothing, really." He looked at her curiously. "You don't see how beautiful your work is?" She shrugged, feeling suddenly shy. "I just draw what I see." "Then I hope you'll see me again," he said with a playful grin. "I'm Lucas." Mia smiled, tucking her wet hair behind her ear. "Mia." Lucas glanced up at the sky as the rain continued to pour. Without hesitation, he pulled off his scarf and gently draped it around her shoulders. "Would you let me buy you a coffee? Maybe tell me more about these sketches?" Mia hesitated for only a second before nodding. As they walked toward the nearest cafΓ©, she felt a warmth spread through her-not just from the scarf, but from the way Lucas looked at her, as if he had been waiting for this moment his whole life. And maybe, just maybe, she had been too.

A ghost town. That's all the city of Paradi is now. After the great war, no-one wanted to live in this half of the world anymore. They all moved to the upper half, where the sun still shone bright and the water was clear and blue. But here below... Everything was dim, blocked out by the abandoned shells of humungously tall buildings. No real people were left in it's lonely streets. There were many robots, but little cyborgs and fewer humans. Those who lived in Paradi, or the lower half, were either too poor to get too the other half, or just plain stupid. Anybody valuing their lives should go to the other half. But there were some who just stayed in the lower because there was nowhere else to go. The empty streets of Paradi suited them fine, and most of them just barely managed to survive, scraping through life each day. Here, the story starts with one such person.

"Whenever you're bored, write something! Then, you are always improving." Whenever I have free time, I pick up my phone and start to type. Often during rainstorms, after a dream I just had, or places with many memories. As a result, many little paragraphs and pages have been written. So, I won't let them go to waste. You never know when a prompt can grow into a book in the bestsellers...
