It was then that the forest began to call her name. "Come home" it whispered to her.

Ruby is a storm that brings rainbows to those she touches but she thinks shell never get that luxury. Wherever she goes rain is sure to follow, it plagues her life but once she leaves rainbows appear. She cant control what she can do, she wants to though. Shed do anything to get rid of the constant fear that drives her life. With the little amount of things she owns and a curse she cant control her life is a thunderstorm but soon it will turn to a rainbow after the rainfall ends.

The worst day of her life. And she couldn't even remember what made her so frustrated before the death of many students and staff at a school. That day completely overwhelmed everything else. It was a day that gave her two choices she couldn't away run from. A day that changed everything. A day on which something sacred was lost. After missing her bus, she was left to walk home in the rainstorm. She was not expecting what followed, though. When a familiar teenage girl appeared at the elementary school nearby, loaded with weapons, she realized that she was more involved than she would have liked. She repeatedly got sent back in time to relive the moment until she made things right, and even when it seemed that she succeeded, something, or someone, that mattered to her was lost. A short story. Are you intrigued? Each year the storm comes, the bridge closes, there is mist in the air. But people, instead of enjoying their hot cup of tea or coffee and reading a good book or watching a nice show, sit unnerved hoping that the curse would break or hear news about more deaths.
