Vincent survived the devestating fire and the blow of a broken bottle to his throat, with the help of a kind young man called Adrian. Adrian had noticed his favorite bistro caught on fire and saw a man running away from the scene, like the heroic man he is he goes inside to see if there were any survivers in need of saving. He got some burns after saving the bistro's head chef, Vincent Charbonneau. After that, Adrian takes him to the hospital to get him treated.
