Dayvon Bennett and Durk banks grew up a block apart on the same side of Chicago, years later though durks on his rise to fame... And von sits behind bars at a jail not far from his neighborhood, not far from his old life. Through a series of flashbacks and letters vons not even sure he'll get a reply to von's story unfolds. Troubles at home - No money and sometimes no food, and misunderstandings at school push von straight into the arms of people who he had thought cared. Now there's a dead 16 year old and a weapon with vons prints on it.

Dayvon and durk met way back in middle school but as the years went by and there situations changed they grew apart and were far from friends. suddenly dayvon goes missing and durk can't help but be worried. he finds himself walking down an intresting looking pathway in the park he can't remember if it ever existed until now. Something is wrong when hours passed and he's still walking through the "thin" patch of trees. He eventually approaches a small clearing and walks right out into the exact same place he started walking at. He's confused at first but eventually he starts to grow concerned when theres no cars or people going by and theres no sound anywhere. That is until he walks down the all to familiar but different neighborhood and after a while finds dayvon sitting on his porch.

Kentrells fresh out of the dentention center comes home back to his old ways but his mom can't take it anymore sending him off to Chicago with a old friend.

Durk in need of a new job decides to take the one that pays the most, him being late in the sign up gets stuck with the one person no one seems to be able to spend more then a hour around.

Going to a new school wasn't something new for tione but making friends so quickly was so he was more worried about messing that up. when tione makes friends with two girls in his first period class he doesn't realize they also come hand in hand with a death sentence. "He's staring again" whispered Shar "Seriously?" "she's not even here what is this dude's problem"

Kamrien had been friends with kentrell for as long as he could remember, he made friends with kentrells friends and even met kentrells family. Who all loved him except one, kentrells brother Davaughn couldn't stand him and Kamrien felt the same way.
