In high school Nate was much more popular than Morgan, who had a crush on him. She often tried to flirt with him but he never seemed to get the chance to talk to her, maybe he just hadn't made the time. Then he moved. Morgan couldn't help but wonder if she wasn't his type or if he was gay. Her friends convinced her he was gay, but she wished she knew for sure.

Despite Nate's bravado, his closest friend knew he was horrible around girls. Especially around girls he liked. He'd simply gape at them like a fish and be unable to speak. Morgan always took his breath away. So his friend, Hunter, always came up with an excuse to save him from the situations.

When Morgan was older, she found Nate again. Except this time he wasn't being dragged off. And it's Nate's chance to talk to the girl he fell in love with.

No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. There wasn't really anything all that special about me. I considered myself an average person with average looks. That being said, I also considered myself a very gaunt person. I was sort of a nerd. Not like a big 'ooooh, look at him, with his glasses, pocket protector and retainer', I of course had never worn any of those things. I'm a quiet type of nerd . Quiet, as in my only friends were people who weren't exactly as bad off as me, but you know, they weren't the most popular either. One girl, Jade who I considered to be an overachieving busybody. She was always trying to improve her already perfect average self while meddling in other peoples business. I also had a guy friend named Alex. He was almost like me, which made us the perfect best friend. He was also pretty popular, even though he hung out with me. Neither Jade, nor Alex were terrible to look at. In fact, sometimes I wondered why they weren't even more popular than they were. Jade is a model, tall with long black hair a perfect body and nice sized tits. Alex is perfect. Perfect six pack, perfect biceps, perfect face..... I know what you're probably thinking right now. 'Talking about your best guy friend like that? Are you gay?' Well between me and you, that's something I'd never admit to anyone. Ever.
