When Harry was bitten by the basilisk, the venom destroyed the Horcrux in his head, but Fawkes saved Harry's life. The basilisk venom and phoenix tears combined break the seal on Harry's magical core. Accidental magic begins to happen around him, and not all of its consequences are good. Only with the help Hermione and new friends can he learn to control his newfound power. He only hopes it's enough to save him from the Dementors and Sirius Black.

Voldemort is defeated, almost all Death Eaters are dead or imprisoned in Azkaban. But what to do with those whose fault wasn't fully proven? The magical world has found an answer: a monitoring and rehabilitation program was established so that these witches and wizards can become law-abiding members of the magical community. By twist of fate, this program will bring together those who, seemingly, are opposites: Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy. But opposites attract, don't they?
