Her dad decided she was mature enough to get sent off. New school, get expelled, and sent home-- much to her father's rage-- then it just starts over and over again. With a past like that it's needless to say Alese is lost. All she wants is to be somewhere as a steady home. When she comes to the newest of the schools that might happen. However just because she gets to stay doesn't mean things are easy. Once she meets her new group if misfits she joins them on the wild unexpected roller coaster of old and new, tangible and translucent, dark and light. A new kid arrives at school and all the kids fear him as he looks like he can be the son of Satan. Maddie is curious about the boy who looks fearsome to everyone and with cold aura around him and she realizes its her first love " Yo-kun"!

But then, on one fateful day, Shadow brings home a mirror and a storybook home from her grandmother's house, after she found a hidden note telling her to take it. After her grandmother's funeral, Shadow trips and falls into the mirror, taking her best friend, Alex, along with her. Now they find themselves in a new universe called Euphoria, in a kingdom known as Abesa. Shadow and Alex find they are apart of an old legend of Abesa and that they were destined to come there and save it from swirling into the darkness. Nothing will ever be the same.

Artemis and his big family just moved into the house on the grounds where Dawn used to live. Dawn needs to find out why this Artemis boy can see her. It's never happened in the three hundred years she'd been (not quite) dead. Artemis is your regular kid of science, the one you barely see in the background, and he is far from superstitious. Artemis doesn't believe in anything science does not explain. So how do you think he feels when he begins to see people that glow but aren't quite there? Or how about one that's not quite dead?
