No ano de 1984,um grupo de cientistas japoneses conhecido como "Grail" haviam criado um projeto chamado "Heaven's Fall",que tinha como objetivo abrir os portões do Céu e do Inferno,usando pessoas como cobaia,utilizando um dispositivo conhecido como "Demon Summoner",fazendo com que revelassem sua "persona" - a verdadeira fonte de sua "personalidade" - podendo invocá-la e usar para combate.
O objetivo deles era fazer com que invocassem o arcanjo Uriel,conhecido por ser o anjo guardião do Paraíso,e Satanael,o anjo que se rebelou contra Deus.Porém tudo deu errado,e isso fez com que as cobaias perdessem o controle sobre suas invocações forçadas,e fazendo com que se transformassem em "Makais" - formas distorcidas de seus verdadeiros desejos -,e criando um mundo paralelo,existindo ao mesmo tempo e lugar que o que viviam,porém formado pelas formas distorcidas dos desejos das pessoas.
Isso acabou fazendo com que o Demiurgo - fingindo ser o próprio Deus - dar um ultimato na humanidade - Em 15 anos,no dia primeiro de janeiro de 2000,seria o fim de todas as coisas vivas.
No ano de 1999,um cientista do grupo Grail,fez seus últimos testes no Demon Summoner,e reuniu um grupo de jovens com o potencial para invocar sua verdadeira forma,para combater as forças do Demiurgo,no "Yuganda Sekai"(Mundo Distorcido),e eis que entra Takashi Satoru,o líder do grupo,onde veremos tudo pelo seu ponto de vista.All Rights Reserved

These indivuals were usually legends in the heart of battle. Eventually humanity evolved warfare had also evolved and so did these family members than came peace. The descendents began to lose the ability to fight gradually eventually came members who could no longer fight at all. They were in building and destruction before they became farmers. Thirty nine generations of farmers later became a family of fishers. Forty generations later the youngest son of the family was killed in a car accident at the age of sixteen. His girlfriend was devastated by that and had taken her life soon after. After he died his soul was brought before God he says "Am I dead?" God says "Yes you have died in a tragic accident I am willing to give you a second chance at life" The boy says "What's the price?" God says "You'll be reincarnated in a different world one with magic monsters and the likes" The boy says "I accept thank you" God reincarnated the boy. It's a story/one shot composed of a rather particular ship, and of course, very unreal. Two respective antagonists of their anime. I know very well that many will not approve the idea. But we are all free to write what we want, right? Maybe later, after the publication, I could think that it was a really bad idea, very bad. But right now, I don't have that view yet.
