Power Of The Past

In the world of unknown species and creatures, Carsen and her brother, JJ are about to get more than what they're bargain for. Their parents tried their hardest to keep their children away from that lifestyle. Carsen and JJ had seen a lot in their lives though; but the one that takes the cake is watching their father get murdered right in front of them. That had hurt them to the point of no return.
After that night, they had made it their mission to protect their mother and find out who had killed their father.
One day, Carsen was on a search in the woods when she stumbled across a black cloak and a list. A list that had all the victims and future victims on there. Two names in particular: their parents.
She runs into the mysterious man who was responsible for her father's death, coming to finish the job, and she demanded answers. But, things get complicated when he finds out that she is his mate and that she wants nothing more than to get revenge.
But, one thing that fumbled through her mind is what is he? The man was obviously not human. He had no feelings or emotions. He had strength that no man could ever compare to. What was he? And, the main question... What was she?
