Over 2,000 years ago 5 dragons stood behind King Hiryuu and protected him from harms way: The Ryokuryuu, Shu-ten; The Hakuryuu, Gu-en; The Seiryuu, Abi; The Ouryuu, Zeno; and The Kuroryuu, Marta.

After the death of King Hiryuu, the 5 dragons went their separate ways and each founded a village (except the Ouryuu) specifically for the next generation.

However, now, Yona has begun her search for the 5 dragon warriors, who have long so gone into hiding, to protect her and her friends from danger. The new generation of dragons will make a few bumps along the way to becoming great warriors like their first generation counterparts, although with the help of the Ouryuu: Zeno, there should be nothing to worry about. Right?

Shin-ah x OC "I told you once, a long time ago, that you would have to choose which lives to save." Steel eyes flashed in the moonlight. "You choose to sacrifice the ones who have offered themselves up to serve you, the ones that have already decided to die for you. You let me fight instead of the ones who never asked to be a part of this. For the ones whose hands are clean, you save them." Calista was an underground fighter. Taken in by Mundok after a particularly rough night, she grew up as an older sister to Hak, Yona and Soo-won. But the underground never lets anyone truly leave. To escape their clutches, Soo-won buys her from them, making her his slave. Fully aware of her combat abilities, he hides her as his bodyguard by posing as an escort. After the fateful events the night King Il was murdered, she made her escape with her brother and the Princess, fleeing to Fuuga and continuing their journey. On the way, she learns that she's not alone anymore, that she can trust her new friends, and most importantly, that love is allowed to be reciprocated. (Anime and Manga SPOILERS!!! 44 parts Ongoing

Priestess Hisa spent nearly three months wandering the Kingdom of Kouka by herself, mourning the loss of her travel companion. On the day she decides to let go of the only item he left her, intending to toss it into a ravine, she encounters a group of Fire Tribe soldiers. Whether by coincidence or fate, she witnesses the moment Princess Yona cuts off her hair. As one gifted with the sight of past and future, Hisa knew her fate intertwined with the crimson dragon and her warriors. But despite the countless visions over the years, she did not foresee that one misstep on a cliff was going to be how they met. ~~~~~ Okay, so I'll be honest. In case anybody didn't know, this is a fanfic and I don't own Akatsuki no Yona or any of its gorgeous characters. I also don't own any of the art or music because I'm a talentless fan that's obligated to tell you to buy the manga and watch the anime 👍 My little summary is a little boring and my title is cheesy, but stick with me as I make everyone suffer. Mwahahaha! I should also say that this has some mentions of: violence, strangulation, self-harm, suicide, and mild swearing. I don't place many warnings unless I know for sure it's a little too heavy, so beware. It's not *much* darker than the original work, but the implications of suicide occur pretty regularly. Sorry in advance!! Updates every month! On Monday!
