Jack kept walking towards her and Ami kept backing up until finally she hit the wall. "Why are you doing this?"
"Doing what?" he had an arrogant smile on his face and he got closer to her.
"That." she nodded towards his closing in on her. Her breathing and her heart beating picked up speed.
"Is it wrong for me to want my own wife?" his own body was nearly pressed against hers and he rested his head between her head and shoulder.
"It is when you, just days before, resented the very fact that I was alive." she closed her eyes, trying to steady her breathing.
"Maybe I've had a change of heart." he looked at her.
She looked at him with her blue eyes. "I don't think so."
"What if I said I loved you?" he whispered hoarsely.
"I wouldn't believe you." she rested her head against the wall as her heart pounded in her ears.
His eyes flashed, then he viciously grabbed her by the waist, pulled her close to him, and his lips crashed onto hers.
