Monifah, an aspiring writer and Darius, an aspiring musical artist, share a connection after meeting at a mutual friends get together. The two bond over writing, and music and eventually start to catch feelings for each other. However, when Darius decides to move to work on his music, it leaves Monifah heartbroken, and their future together leads into a different path.
