The Nursery "Alice" (1890) is a shortened version of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) by Lewis Carroll -  adapted by the author himself for children "from nought to five". 
 It includes John Tenniel's illustrations from the original book coloured and enlarged.
 
The work is not merely a shortened and simplified version. It is written as though the story is being read aloud by someone who is also talking to the child listener, pointing out details in the pictures and asking questions. There are also additions, such as an anecdote about a puppy called Dash, and an explanation of the word "foxglove".

This is a very old tale of The Brother's Grimm, almost 200 years old, or possibly more. This tale is about a young girl who was born with very, very long hair, who was kidnapped at birth by a wicked, old hag. There are many versions of this tale, such as the King stealing lettuce from the hag's garden, and as a punishment the hag took his newborn daughter. Some involve the hag stealing the baby because of it's beauty and youth. Though many versions of this tale has been told over the years, the plot remains the same. It was about a young girl with long hair who was kidnapped at a young age by an old hag, and then confined in a tower with only one window. This version of the tale involves the hag's past. This is the tale of love, loss, and grief. And of course, a little bit of magic.
