"Sophia, I like boys," I confessed. "F*ck, Jazen, is that just a fancy way of saying you're breaking up with me?" Sophia snapped at me with a fierce and angry tone. "Yes." I affirmed, "I'm gay? Bi, I guess." "I find that hard to swallow, prove it." She pulled me and pointed to someone, "You see that man over there? Kiss him," my girlfriend challenged me. "What the hell?" I exclaimed, not agreeing with her deal. I gulped, "That man is Ernest, and he is the straightest guy I've ever seen in this university!" "And date him," she just gave me a nasty look and continued, "If you succeed, fine. I'll set you free then, and only then will I allow you to break up with me." It's strange, but I found myself saying, "Deal." --- Jazen, a writer who lives in Paris and certainly dates more, much to the annoyance of Ernest, who now sees him as a bothersome ex-boyfriend. But let's rewind to before Jazen's writing career blew up and Ernest's transition from showbiz actor to the world of politics. They actually both attended the same university in London, where they were classmates in a history class-well, only for that subject. Jazen, an accounting student, could have made some history with Ernest, law student, son of the University President, and a band drummer. Things changed when Ernest heard Jazen's singing voice on stage, where he snagged the title of University King. Instead of being blown away by its beauty, Jazen was more like, "Ugh, seriously?" That's what sparked a rivalry, and the rest is history. [ story cover photo credits to GQ ]
