A seemingly ordinary teenager named Jace Christopher Wayland learns that he is descended from a line of dream hunters, known as Dreamcatcher - immortal warriors that enters a dream to destroy those creatures (demons) who enter a dream to destroy it or kill the one who is dreaming in the dream that's why they can't wake up resulting death and a half angel warriors also who protect humanity from evil forces. After his sister (Chasey Lorren Wayland) disappears, Jace joins forces with a group of Dream hunters which is Dreamcatcher and enters dreamworld. But Jace can't find his sister so that they decided to enter Downworld, an alternate realm filled with demons, vampires and host of other creatures.
