All is not well. Ray Mendall has been obsessed with having a career as a silver screen director, but that changes when he meets nurse Helen Roswenn. While hiding a mental illness, Ray must balance his new Hollywood career and his relationship with Helen. As it becomes harder to maintain the status quo, he is faced with the media looking for a chink in the armor of cinema's newest director and the increasingly suspicious film company owner.
