Without changing a person's personality, undergoing the Alteration perfects their appearance, IQ, and even their immunity to diseases. No human passes the age of sixteen without being Altered. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Isabel Fletcher always had the worst luck, and the biggest karma. Have you ever tripped in the corridors, forgotten your deodorant or be the last one to get chosen in an activity? Well, that's only half of what our hero gets. Clumsy yet incredibly smart, Isabel always wished for it to stop. But one day, as a shooting star crosses the sky, she makes that wish, and soon, it changes the world's face more than she thought it would.

It is the second decade of the second millennium and an unsuspecting world is engulfed by an unknown plague. Uncurable and fatal, it was hence named the Hangman's Plague. Since high school Dipper was in an abusive relationship and after he married the man things for him only got worse. Without even knowing it he had been forced to cut all ties with family and friends, he wasn't allowed any money or a job for himself, he was only allowed to leave the house on certain days. His husband made sure that he felt isolated and alone with nobody to turn to. So in an act of desperation Dipper does the unthinkiable: he runs away from the life he once knew to try and find out what life is like without the constant fear and threat of being hurt, but more importantly finding out who he is in the world when there's no one to control his every choice anymore.

I never really was made to be in Abnegation. I didn't ever fit in. All of the selflessness - I just couldn't do it. I couldn't forget myself in a matter of seconds then turn to another in need. I always thought of myself and what I would be like when I was older. Would I live in Abnegation? Could I learn to forget myself eventually? No. It just wouldn't happen. Life is never that easy in Abnegation, for me, at least. (incomplete)
