It's the 74th Hunger Games and all the Districts are ready to sacrifice two of their children. They all know that only one will come out. But back in District 1, the District of luxury, one of the main career Districts lives a boy named Marvel Pedanski. He's been training since he was six years old for these games and wouldn't hesitate to take anyone's place in The Hunger Games. Being very skilled at spear throwing he believes he'll take down anyone in The Hunger Games. But when someone very close to him gets chosen, he doesn't hesitate for one moment to embark on a dangerous journey. 
For this is the Hunger Games.
