Kimberly Mazent fell victim at the tender age of sixteen to Malik Wright. She was a naive little girl, who was lost and looking for love. All Malik had to do was say a few sweet words and she was head over heels. Kimmy was warned by those around her, especially her mother, to stay away from Malik. He was a monster, and a wicked, spiteful man. But, she didn't see him as so. To her, he was one of those rare gentle giants. But, she soon learned, Malik wasn't as gentle as she thought. Will Kimmy overcome the beat downs, degrading, and embarrassments Malik will put her through? Or will she sit back and continue to be his puppet?

"Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that is the one that is going to require the most of you." -Caroline Myss He scowled and put a finger up to my lips. "Mallie," he whispered, "listen to me. You and only you are the girl that matters to me the most in this world, ok? There's no one else I want to be with, no one else that makes me feel the way you do. You are my world, and I'm going to fight for you until the end. Don't ever forget that." _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Have you ever had to make a choice? A choice that decides, not only your future, but the future of those around you? Mallie never thought she'd have to choose. She never thought she'd have to choose to see the one person she cared about suffer before her eyes everyday and not be able to do anything about it. People shouldn't have to make those kinds of choices, but she did. And the strange thing was... she didn't regret a minute of it.
