Awsten Knight. The name that made the boys at Benson High shudder and the girls "jump" with excitement. Awsten's a 'bad boy', he always came late to class, didn't do work (yet somehow he passed) and bring food to classes, earning many detentions. Geoff Wigington. A name that not many people knew. He's a good kid, and he has EVERY class with Awsten, and it's very frustrating. Geoff only got detention once for arguing with a substitute, and he saw Awsten there. Geoff doesn't have many friends, only a kid named Otto Wood and and another named Jawn Rocha. Awsten, on the other hand, he's friends with mostly everyone in the school, but his best friend is Travis. Geoff and Awsten never really talked until recently.

"without you I'm a lost boy." WAS NOT AWARE OF THE ACTRESS WITH THE SAME NAME, THIS STORY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER. UNEDITED* update: so, this is super cringey but hey, must be good if it's the number 1 awsten fic ;) also it was started and completed in 2017 so there's that. note that all of the waterparks boys are 3 years younger in this story although it is in present tense. also note the au, meaning there's some other differences but not much, it's mostly going along with the age, but this is also a work of fiction (sadly), so I mean. intentional lowercase, frequent updates, and chapter get better (and longer) as the book progresses.

The only way to get his feelings out of his system is to write about it, after consulting with his best friend and bandmate, Geoff. He writes an obsessive love song, which he finds himself playing on repeat, only becoming more infatuated with this mystery girl, every time he thinks of her. Elle Wright leaves her home city after a painful breakup, escaping to the other side of the world, desperate for a change of scenery. She didn't know that her new start would include becoming best friends with her idol. The two of them are finding their feet, learning to be alone again, and in that, they find comfort in each other. Though, they can't help the overwhelming feelings that after their respective heartbreaks, they may never bloom again.
