What if the star crossed lovers were not the victors of the 74th Annual Hunger Games? In a world where Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwood won the games. 16 year old Clove is prepared to represent District 2 as the female tribute. Fearless and highly lethal when in possession of a knife, Clove Kentwell is easily a top contender for the crown...that is before haughty Cato Hadley volunteers himself as tribute to compete alongside her. * * * * "You don't understand how exhausting it is to keep pretending I hate you." he spits at me. His expression morphs into a mortified realization as it registers to him what words just spilled from his lips.
