Множество легенд ходило о появлении чудовища в здешних краях и его истинной сущности. Возвращавшиеся из леса охотники нередко, больше бравады ради, хвалились тем, что преследовали странное существо до самой его норы, вооружившись арбалетами и ножами. Впечатлительные селянки клялись, хватаясь за сердце и украдкой утирая слёзы, что каждую ночь слышали жуткий вой под своими окнами. А неразговорчивые лесники, успевшие повидать на своём веку немало чудес природы, только мрачно качали головами на подобные выдумки. Лишь у одного из егерей удалось выпытать правду о том, что едва заметные следы ночного кошмара вели к старому ясеню, затерянному в самой глуши.

We talk and laugh and she tells me I'm pretty and I ask her if she'd just noticed that and we laugh again. I realize the feelings I felt in that moment were not just the intense feelings of attraction that I felt every time I was with her. Warmth flooded to my face and if it wasn't for my dark complexion, my blush would be noticeable. I look into her dark-colored eyes and I come to the conclusion that I'm royally fucked and I'm probably also in love.
