Charlotte Hannigan and Elliot McIntyre had been in love with each other since they were nine and had met during unlikely circumstances. Now it’s 1941 and they couldn’t be more in love. Between the swing dancing, Frank Sinatra, and their undeniable love for each other, Charlotte and Elliot’s lives couldn’t be better. That is until Elliot decides he has been given a duty to serve his country, and enlists in the air corps. Now Charlotte must live with the idea that the man she loves may never come home and is constantly reminded by her condescending “friend” Francine Monroe, what an idiot she was for falling in love with him.
Charlotte perseveres and she and Elliot keep in touch through letters and day dreams. The only problem is, Elliot’s best friend Donny Jacobs is hiding a secret that just may ruin the love that they have for each other. After Charlotte's father is suspected of murder and Donny's little girl goes missing, Donny threatens to share this devastating truth. Oh and lets not forget the day that changed history forever. Pearl Harbor. This threatens Elliot and Donny’s lives and causes untimely peril for hundreds of others, while Charlotte is waiting unaware, in anticipation. Find out if Charlotte and Elliot can hold on through the storm in my first novel, Life Happens-1941.

Book 4 of the Jackson Series! Charlotte Davidson was dealt the wrong cards in her youth but when an opportunity to start anew presents itself she grabs it with both hands. She leaves her old life behind and makes the move to Dallas, Texas with her daughter Aria. It's not long before she bumps into Theodore Jackson and realizes that he's everything she's been looking for. But the past she left behind finds her again and is relentless in wanting to stick around. As she tries to do what's right lines are blurred and everything spins out of control. It's now up to her to either protect those that she loves or let it all explode. *** "What can I say? Food is one of my weaknesses." "And what are the others?" I ask while highly aware that he's backed me up against my car. "Hmm..." He trails off as his arms rest on either side of my body. He steps closer until our lips are just a breath away and my heart starts to race in anticipation. "Your gorgeous eyes that take my breath away...your sweet smile that can bring me to my knees...your touch that drives me crazy -" "Theo..." I shake my head as a fierce blush heats my cheeks. He leans in and pulls me against him by my waist. I release a shaky breath when the need to kiss him becomes overwhelming. "I could go on forever darlin." Unable to help myself I press my lips to his. He groans huskily before tangling his fingers in my hair. I hesitantly bite down on his bottom lip before soothing the sting. His reaction is instant as he hoists me up onto his waist. My back hits my car door as I wrap my legs around his waist. "Get some brother!" "We met earlier, kind of," he smiled at her. "I'm Jake." "H-hi!" How had she missed him before? He was delightful. Dark blond hair, slate grey eyes . . . and oh my goodness, that smile!!! To be fair, back in the bar, all of their faces had been merging together, but now she was a bit more with it, she could see this guy was pretty much perfection. What a shame she was getting married . . . No, wait, she wasn't. But he thought she was. And yet here he was, apparently interested. Time to see how this one played out . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Charlotte Tyler has a theory - when it comes to girls, all guys want what they can't have. The fact her colleague Aaron flirted with her constantly while she was in a relationship and lost interest the second she was single has in no way disproved this theory. And so her best friend Thea comes up with a way to test this further - if Charlie stages her own hen night, will she manage to hook an unsuspecting guy? Despite being technically off-the-market? It seems like a crazy idea. But the plan, surprisingly, is a resounding success, and Charlie actually meets and starts to fall for someone as a result. But with an imaginary fiance and an upcoming fictional wedding to juggle, her lies are starting to spin out of control. Is this what she really wants?
