It's as though the monster inside me somehow knows that the stars are calm, and a bigger state of being than I could ever be. Anna, you are such a star. But, I don't understand how-" Remus faltered, his warm brown eyes now watered and tears rolling down his cheeks. He took in a breath, his breathing becoming hitched, then steady. "I- I don't understand how you could ever love me. Anna, i'm a monster. It's not safe to be around me. It will never be safe to be around me. Being my friend is one thing, I can't get to emotionally attached to anything. I can't get to attached to anyone. And I'm doing what i'm doing to protect you Anna, please remember that." Anna's breath quickened, as she realized what was going to happen. "Remus..." "No, Anna. I... I love you. But I have to go." And with those final words Remus left Anna on that bench in the gardens. As he walked away tears rolled down his cheeks, and as she sat there staring at the stars, they rolled down her's.
