Since at the age of two, Jonathan Poland was fascinated by numbers. He skipped grades because he was too smart and was preferred to be homeschooled by Ibrahim Sage. At 18, he is hired to become a math professor at the university of Edinburgh; despite the fact that he is struggling with social phobia and anxiety.

Teaching at the university, he meets his childhood crush, Joyce Millie Robertson, and journeys to make her fall in love with him. But Millie has an obsessive boyfriend, whom she has to get rid off.
