After the Android Revolution, a law was created to give rights to androids to be treated as equal to humans. Unfortunately, not everyone is in agreement of this idea. One of these people are Gavin Reed.

Ever since the law was passed, Gavin has been deteriorating. His opinions starts to affect his work. So as a way to solve this problem he is given an android partner, an RK900 model, Conan.

Neither Gavin nor Conan is pleased with their situation.

WARNING: Swearing (as you can see in the title), none of these characters are mine (obviously), the story is written in Gavin's perspective but with third person pronoun, I'm not that knowledgeable about the Police so I apologize in advance if I get anything wrong. Also: this fic is 90% crack cuz I can't do serious. I take it back it's 100% crack. I take it back it's 9000% crack.

Changes in universe: RK900 will be referred to as Conan (as said in the summary), Gavin and Elijah are twins (although Elijah is barely mentioned [nevermind he's in the story now]), and there is also romance between Gavin with Conan and Hank with Connor and more (Uh... I guess spoilers to this fanfic: Elijah and Leo because I felt like it)

I won't lie I kinda hate myself for writing this but the ideas kept flowing so here we go It would take a long time for androids to be equal to humans, but at least the first steps had been made. Connor, a prototype for a detective android who managed to go deviant and form a friendship with an old police Lieutenant who drinks just a little too much was one of those androids who liked to believe he had a hand in the outcome of the Android Revolution. The rules were when the Deviant case was solved, Connor would return to Cyberlife, but now that androids were people he could stay in the police department- and you bet your ass he did. Everything was going smoothly for about a month or so until Connor and his best partner Hank are chasing after a serial killer and Connor gets injured on the job. Will Hank be able to finish the case without his partner there every step of the way? And an even bigger question: How will the Lieutenant handle Connors replacement - the RK900? Story length: 10,003 Words - This is based after the ending where everyone lives and they essentially get equal rights for androids - This is not Hank x Connor, it's more of a father/son relationship - Trigger Warnings: Cussing, drinking, bodies and typical crimescene environments, drugs, etc. - This is kinda a lazy fanfic- AKA I really love these characters and had a scene in my head, then formed a plot around it and did my best to make it interesting lol. - I made the cover in Desygner - Characters belong to the game Detroit: Become Human and the company that made it, Quantic Dream. Also I just want say that I wrote this story and then matched the cover and it matches so well like honestly wtf

--- Updates on Mondays --- The Detroit police department in 2039 is a strange place. Outbreaks of Deviancy within the everyday android are turning this town rampant; and is turning the police department into a war zone. A hard-boiled eccentric police lieutenant, and his android, RK800 companion are no longer able to keep up with the cases by themselves, and request an additional partner. Everyone in the police department are already over loaded, so CyberLife creates a in-the-works android, developed by Elijah Kamski to investigate, analyze, and problem solve. And it's name is "Sean." A 16 -13 -1. Hank and Connor greet their partner with stress, and demands of perfection. Due to Sean being a project started by Kamski, there are somethings that set him apart from the normal android. There are multiple parts to his "mind" that come to serve his partners. Sean's primary directive is to serve, and assist these two in their investigations, but something deep inside of him has other plans. As Sean breaks from what he was made to do, he has to really find out what he is made of, and what he is going to do with it. ----- DISCLAMER: I highly recommend watching, or playing Detroit: Become Human before reading. Gavin Reed hates androids, or so he thought. As time passes he finds himself coming around to the new way of life, getting used to Connor and coming across an RK900 that's not so bad. When that android turns up unexpectedly and becomes both his partner and his belonging Reed finds himself tested more than ever. On top of that there's a string of destroyed android cases piling up on his desk, and he's making little progress by himself. The cases are clearly connected, but the lack of physical evidence is leaving him in an endless spiral. Is he really trying hard enough? Or are his old prejudices clouding his judgement? Maybe all he needs is a second pair of eyes, and a walking talking science lab, to help him out.
