An escaped military-grade human experiment, Nox is running from men determined to keep him a secret. Critically wounded and loosing fuel, he makes one last, desperate move, and crashes into Cress Montgomercy's farm truck.
Cress has her own mountains to climb trying to keep her family together, and at first she thinks having a Mech around might save the farm - until the men who are hunting him show up.
In the life-or-death race that follows, Cress, her brothers, and Nox must learn to trust each other if they are going to survive the brutal journey over the mountains to the protection of the rebel forces on the border of the Coalition Colonial Region. But with the threat of war blossoming in the Colonies behind them, mercenaries on their trail, and an uncertain future in the rugged Illyrian settlements ahead of them, will they find safety, or will they be swept up by the battle Nox was designed for?

[COMPLETED] •Being revised... AGAIN (Progress: Intro-Chap. 3)• "We're going back... Understand? There are more threats out here than we anticipated, and they're all after you-" Lukas' voice erupted into static and chunks... I glared at the man in all black as the light continued to beam and blind me. Without my glasses it was actually painful. And then there was silence. My bare feet hit the metal floor of wherever we had jumped to, and I put my hand up to shield my eyes from the vicious attack of bright light. Not again." Alexi Callidus is living in a post-apocalyptic world... In the 25th Century. The year is 2470. She's been surviving on her own for 4 years and 8 months inside the same building with her only companion without seeing the sun. 5 years after the brutal unexplained murder of her family. 7 years after the genetic disaster of "GASP". 7 years and 4 months after the War of Nations. Everything seems to be barren and empty... But if her super old sci-fi movies didn't teach her that looks deceive, nothing will. Technology, before "GASP" (Genetically Altered Soldiers Program) and the War of Nations, was insane. You could be teleported in the blink of an eye, or healed from a once fatal injury in days. With the majority of the population infected with a viral genetic plague, almost any of the survivors could access this technology... Including Alexi. When a simple quest for survival turns into a journey of a lifetime, will Alexi be able to survive the weight of the gruesome truth when she finally uncovers it? Will our heroine be able to fade into the background and live a quiet life of cunning? The Lengkawi: The World Of Magic by JoshNathaniel2
15 parts Ongoing Mature
[Alien golems vs Fantasy world] The Lengkawi are ancient, alien beings resembling towering, biomechanical golems crafted from metal, stone, and crystalline energy. Originating from a world rich in advanced technology and resources, their civilization flourished for millennia. However, their planet's core an essential source of energy sustaining their world, malfunctioned catastrophically, resulting in its total destruction. Only a single massive colony ship, carrying the last survivors of their kind, managed to escape the devastation. Drifting through the void for centuries, they eventually crash-landed on a new planet unlike anything they had encountered before a vibrant, untamed world brimming with magic and fantastical creatures. The Lengkawi, relying on their remaining technology, established a hidden base within the wreckage of their ship. Here, they struggled to repair their systems, reproduce their energy cores, and adapt to the planet's arcane forces, which clashed with their scientific principles. As they scavenged for resources and studied the magic-laden environment, the Lengkawi faced a crucial dilemma: should they attempt to contact the planet's native inhabitants, seeking peace and cooperation, or should they remain hidden, fearing conflict or exploitation? Each decision carried significant risks for their dwindling population and fragile survival. How will the Lengkawi adapt to the magic-dominated world that defies their technological logic? Should they reach out to the natives for aid and knowledge, or will such contact ignite a potential conflict? Can they rebuild their civilization using the resources of this alien world, or are they doomed to extinction? What moral and ethical challenges will they face as they attempt to coexist or compete with the planet's magical creatures and societies?

She makes a living doing the riskiest endeavors-traveling the Barrens, collecting survivors, and hunting for the remaining vaccines that can help delay feralism. People are in awe of her willingness to risk her life, but it's easy when your days are numbered, and hers are. She's turning feral. However, her latest foray into the Barrens leads to an incredible discovery: someone with the potential to create a feralism cure. But it takes time and risk to create a cure, without promise of a payout. To Nia, some fates are worse than death, and the only absolute is the oblivion of feralism awaiting her. She must choose what to embrace: the feralism that could be humanity's only survival, or the risk for a cure. **** Now available on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Well-Organized-Mind-Andrea-Soung/dp/B0C6BQTZ2B/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=Fl3EC&content-id=amzn1.sym.ed85217c-14c9-4aa0-b248-e47393e2ce12&pf_rd_p=ed85217c-14c9-4aa0-b248-e47393e2ce12&pf_rd_r=139-9204535-3864644&pd_rd_wg=rvk9V&pd_rd_r=1a892e06-01ad-4e5e-802a-e856a57daf20&ref_=aufs_ap_sc_dsk **** Cover art compiled by Andrea Soung Man image credit: https://pixabay.com/illustrations/man-destruction-double-exposure-1519665/ Wasteland image credit: https://pixabay.com/illustrations/landscape-scenery-nature-deserts-6880552/
