It has been many long years since the Capitol crushed the rebelling districts and executed Katniss Everdeen and the remaining victors. Life went back to its usual state for the Capitol residents- and the Hunger Games was reinstated. Now, in the 250th anniversary of these violent games, it is another Quarter Quell, which is a sadistic twist on the Games, occurring once every twenty-five years. In honor of the 50th Games, the 250th Hunger Games will bring back the forty-eight tribute pool, with two boys and girls from each district fighting to the death with twice the number of tributes, until only one remains.

When the laws of the Hunger Games were laid out, they dictated that every twenty-five years the anniversary would be marked by a Quarter Quell. It would call for a glorified version of the Games to make the fresh the memory of those killed by the districts' rebellion. Now we honor our fourth Quarter Quell. On the one hundredth anniversary, as a reminder to the rebels that the Dark Days only served to tear their families apart, each district will be required to send two sets of siblings. The new government that came with the rebellion Katniss started has been overthrown. President Snow's granddaughter is ruling Panem now, and she has proven to be more ruthless than he ever was. Katniss and Peeta were publicly executed after the Capitol took over again, and District 13 was completely obliterated. Since then, the Hunger Games have been harsher than ever. What if the rebellion failed, the hunger games continued? These are the 150th annual hunger games! To remind the citizens of the failed rebellion the Capitol decided to hide ruins in the arena. Vivus Redis, a seventeen year old boy from district 13, is being reaped. Will he survive and see his best friend and family again? Or will he die a horrible death in the arena? And what's up with all these mockingjay symbols? "Why?!", yells Res as she enters the room. "I told you to not do that! I told you that over and over again!" Tears start rolling down her face again, washing away dust and dirt. I don't know what to say, it's like I don't have a voice anymore, so I just stand up and go to her. This time it was almost too easy, the war lasting a mere week, the twelve districts have been taken over once again, and District 13 gone forever. After a hundred years of peace the Hunger Games began again. One thousand years later the rebels still haven't bounced back. The districts remain as they were before the rebels took over. The tributes from Districts 1,2, and 4 still train to become champions while the other's battle starvation. Twenty Four will be reaped, 1 will come out. May the odds be EVER in your favour!

We all know the story of the Mockingjay Rebellion. Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen volunteers for her twelve year old sister for this event called The Hunger Games where twenty four children fight to the death and only one comes out as victor. A boy named Peeta Mellark was reaped alongside her. These two come out of the games as "Starcrossed Lovers". This caused a few uprisings in some districts. President Snow doesn't want another rebellion so he sends Katniss and Peeta back into the games with other Victors from each district. This causes a whole other war and this time, the districts pull out on top. The Hunger Games are ended and Snow is executed and everyone is safe again. Yeah, let's fast foward about fifty years. My name is Larise Parigood, and the Hunger Games are back. And this time, they're as heart wrenching as ever. Warning: Much Vulgar Language, Profanity, and Uncomfortable Topics.
