One of them being he gets stage fright easily, another being his parents are crazy religious and wouldn't approve of it. He mentioned it once and they sent him to a private lutheran school. Now, the only way he can come close to expressing himself is through praise band- even then he holds himself back to the point of sounding mediocre, but just good enough to be better than the other people that auditioned. They developed feelings for each other without even knowing who they are. The problem is, the guy he's been texting wants him to come out so they can date. He ends up finding out who Patrick is and outs him to their whole school. Patrick wasn't ready for any of this, but he's got to deal with the situation.
