Never let your fear decide your fate.

Charlotte "Charlie" Layton has led a very lonely life. Having been dumped by her parents to live on her grandparents Texas ranch as a child, when she chose to step out on her own it was nothing she expected. Charlie wanted to know her parents and when she found him, Charlie was forced under her father's control in New York, locked away. Abused and neglected, Charlie remained estranged until she receives a call from her grandparents lawyer that her grandfather has passed away and has left the family ranch in Texas to her. When She returns home for a week to settle the family estate, Charlie quickly find things are not the way she remembers them.

Ryan Crawford has worked the Layton ranch as manager for the last five years. His father as ranch manager before him, the ranch was Ryan's home. Running the ranch is in his blood. He was considered as much of family to the older Layton's as their granddaughter, who didn't remember setting foot on the property . Ryan is a hot headed cowboy who doesn't believe that Charlie cared about her family, much less knows enough about the ranch to settle the estate. When Charlie shows up fireworks ignite forcing both of them to fight for what they want most.

Can they put their differences aside to work together as family secrets suddenly puts Charlie's life in danger as she finds things aren't as they would seem.
