1998, January, Voldemort's raging on. Ron has left their little runaway band and they soon have news that the entire weasley family has been executed as demonstration to blood traitors. Harry and Hermione have some shenanigans but they run into (more accurately, are found by) a worse-for-wear Horace Slughorn who jumps at them in the woods with a plan to turn back time to 1944 to stop tom riddle from ever rising as a dark lord.

They begrudgingly agree. 1944, both Harry and Hermione find themselves sorted into new houses, and despite being dressed in blue-bronze and having her back turned, Hermione often feels the dark eyes of Harry's new baby dark lord housemate on her.

Please do not read this if you intend only to comment on the ship of this fanfiction! I completely understand that the tom riddle and hermione pairing is problematic but this is a work of fiction. Constructive criticism is encouraged and thanked for. Story may get darker at some points so be warned. Cover picture picked off
