Scott McCall is a werewolf. But not just any werewolf. He's an Alpha. The True Alpha. However, things have changed since the defeat of the Anuk-Ite and Monroe. The war didn't end...it kept going...and Scott suffered more than anyone. The rest of his pack split and went their own ways. 

Scott lost his ability to control his shift under the full moon. After suffering from heavy losses Scott's spirit had broken. 

With his broken soul, he discovered that he had become a monster like Peter Hale; a Beast Alpha. He tried to get help to stop it from ever happening again. 

The only way to deal with it was by evolving. If he could tap into the wolf instead of the beast that represented it..he could gain control over it. But that had been temporary.

Traveling across the country, Scott has been actively avoiding his pain. Refusing to call his friends. Rarely responding to his best friend's text messages. All he wants is to forget everything. He thought that forgetting would be better than being reminded of what he's lost every full moon. When he thinks he's finally found temporary peace...he comes across an old friend. 

A beautiful girl with auburn brown hair and stunning blue eyes. This same girl knows what it's like to lose everything close to her. Her name was Hope Mikaelson. Will Scott finally succumb to his immense pain and darkness or will a light finally guide him lead him out of the dark?
