As the Circles of Magi collapse, elven mage Tilda Hadvan escapes the White Spire, fleeing into Ferelden. Rescued from captivity by the Inquisition, she befriends its members, pulling her into plots that could affect the whole of Thedas.  But Tilda has her own secrets, and the past always comes back to haunt her.

This is the second book of The Elves of Fen'Harel. The first is In Search of a Wolf, which is the story of Solas's romance with a Dalish elf named Laisa. While the first isn't necessary to read this one, I recommend checking it out at some point as there are some shared characters.  

Spoilers for Dragon Age series, particularly Inquisition, Trespasser and the events of the BioWare novel Asunder.

Solas watched her through their eyes as she grew into a beautiful powerful mage.... the two wolves were considered her protectors by the clans since they were always seen only with her.... her last clan is Keeper Hawen's clan.... when she was of age he asked her who's Vallaslin she wished to wear and with a serious face but teasing tone she told him "the dread wolf's"..... So she grew up the only elf without a Vallaslin till she joined the Inquisition and met Solas.... but fell in love with the spirit Cole/Compassion
