There are two types of people at dances; the people that actually dance and the people that are just there because their friends forced them to go. Katie Miller is the latter of the two. Katie is the school angel; she's a straight A student, never brakes the rules, pure and basically everything a parent wishes for. Not to mention she's pretty. She has wavy hair that makes it seem that a waterfall of melted chocolate is flowing from her scalp and eyes that match the color of fresh hazel nuts. Anyways, it's sophomore homecoming dance and Katie's stuck along the sidelines, watching her friends, the ones that actually dance... That is, until someone taps her on the shoulder. She turns around, her chocolate waves flipping over her shoulder innocently, only to find Hunter Williams, the guy that can get any girl to his house - no scratch that, room - with that signature smirk of his. "Hey, what are you doing here all by yourself?" Hunter asks, flashing his smirk towards Katie in vain as he advances towards her. Katie backs away slowly, not wanting to seem rude. "Um... Just hanging out with my friends..." She replies softly. "Well, I don't see them around..." Hunter replies once more as he takes Katie's chin, forcing her to look at him. Now with Hunter so close, Katie can smell the hint of alcohol in his breath from the spiked punch. Suddenly, someone gently takes Katie by the waist, pulling her away from Hunter and behind themselves. "Back away, Williams. She's here with me." Copyright © 2014 M.V
