There is a legend that, once upon a time, a beautiful fairy, the Ice Queen, lived on the highest, most solitary peaks of the Alps. The mountain folk and shepherds climbed to the summits to admire her, and everyone fell head over heels in love with her.

Each suitor was allowed to enter the great Ice Palace with the ice roof, where the Queen's throne stood. But the second he declared his love and asked for her hand, thousands of goblins appeared to grasp him and push him over the rocks, down into bottomless abysses.

Without the slightest emotion, the Queen would watch the scene, her heart of ice unable to feel anything at all. The legend of the Ice Palace and the beautiful heartless Queen spread far and wide, a storyteller helping the tale along. The storyteller arrived at the home of three fearless brothers. Fascinated by the tale, they decided to set out and try their luck. Leaving their village and their father, they set out to find the allusive Ice Queen.

But do they make it? Will they survive the curse set long ago, by Fate himself?

{Completed} Highest Ranking: # 1 in Fantasy (01/28/17) Book. 1 My blood boiled at the thought of one of them in our streets, hidden in plain sight, perhaps even by one of the kids from the orphanages. Would it murder innocent human children? You bet. Would it even think twice about gutting a starving child? Never. What could do this, you're probably asking. But it boils down to one single word. One word that made anger I hadn't known I possessed, roar to life like a pissed off lion. One word that sent a cold chill spider-walking down my spine. Faeries. ------------ Eve Scotts's world is divided by magic - The Order of the Seven who rules over her kingdom with a steel fist and the murderous faeries's she'll be forced to fight when she turns eighteen. Eve is a dueler, a human that dabbles in the elements to fight in underground scuffles for some extra coin to feed her fellow orphans back home. But she has a secret weapon: She can wield ice magic - a magic that is only reserved for the High Witches at court. But she makes a mistake. She exposes herself. Rumors are spreading of a small orphan girl who can wield the power of ice, and it isn't long until the Order sends one of their own to snatch up the bounty. In exchange for the secrecy of her special gift, Eve agrees to participate in the Witches Academy, where humans are taught to wield the power of the elements and become powerful witch soldiers for the Order's disposal. The Frostborn by ACM013

The Sequel to The Marked The Frostborn Mages were once thought to be a myth-an ancient race of rulers and warriors who wielded ice as both weapon and shield. Their kingdom vanished centuries ago, buried beneath the snow. But legends have a way of returning. Crystal has always been a warrior, deadly with her daggers and skilled in ice magic. But something within her is changing-her power surging beyond control. When an entire battlefield freezes at her feet, the truth becomes undeniable. She is the last heir of the Frostborn. The true Ice Queen. But there is little time to dwell on her awakening. Racnea, the serpent demon, may be wounded, but he is not defeated. He is waiting. Watching. And he will return. Yet he is not the only threat. The Veil Source, an ancient force long thought forgotten, has emerged from the shadows. No longer in hiding, it spreads its influence, warping the world with its dark magic. Direbeasts prowl the lands-monstrous, primal creatures twisted by the Veil's power. And lurking in the darkness, the Veil Shadows move unseen, consuming all in their path. Crystal and Kallbis must uncover the truth of her lineage before her power consumes her. The key lies in ancient ruins, forgotten archives, whispers of a past erased by time. But as they search, the Veil tightens its grip on the world. The battle for her throne is only the beginning. If the Veil's power is unleashed, not even an Ice Queen will be able to stop it.
A Queen for the Frost Giant (Legends of Rahasia Book 0) by FaeWhit
51 parts Complete
The giant beneath the mountain has awakened after three centuries' slumber and devours some of my fathers' best men every morning. He will continue taking lives, one for every giant our ancient ruler killed to steal his land. But I know this ice giant, this jötunn, as Fell Hallvarðr. He came to me as a regular boy in dreams. He rumbles towards the citadel, tall as five men stacked shoulder on shoulder, I hold out a hand. "Fell Hallvarðr," I call out, ignoring the screams of horror from the warriors around me, "I place you under my royal protection, as the old ways of Cloelia Regina called upon. None of my people shall harm you so long as I live." The people cry out against me, but Fell falls to one knee, dropping me gently to the earth. "Then you shall live, little human-traitor." He replies, "in return for what?" "I shall become queen. And you shall fight for me." * Queen Cassia is a royal embarrassment. People snicker at her, knowing her lungs are too weak to draw breath, much less fight. Her parents fear she will not have the strength to undergo the ceremony to become queen, and that the royal line will have to be passed to an outsider. But all this is disrupted when the giant beneath the ice mountain, thought to be a myth, awakens and attack their city of Ymir. The rest of the cities along the Borealis are in rebellion against the main kingdom of Idriola, and Cassia aims to earn her birthright by uniting them all. * Prequel to "Legends of Rahasia Series" (Priestess for the Blind God, Princess for the Witch Doctor, Pirate for the Dead Goddess). This is the tale of how Cassia became Cassia Boadicea Regina of Idriola, the ruler of blood and ice. The fearsome matriarch of the North & conqueror-queen.
