In the Kingdom of Nera, everyone's destiny is known from the day they are born, for that is when they visit the Seer. Blessed with the power to gaze into a person's soul, the Seer declares what profession will be best for every child, assigning them a job and with it, a status that they carry with them for all their life. By following this system, Nera has become one of the most powerful kingdoms in all the land. For the most part, their way of life is accepted, but of course, there are those few odd ones who want more than what they were given. They believe that there's more to them, to their destiny, than what the Seer claims, and so they try to fight. Of course alone, they stand no chance and are seen as deranged, and those who do not accept the rule of the king or the decision of the Seer are found guilty of treason and banished, if not worse.
But...
What happens when one lost soul, feeling they were meant for more, finds another who shares their dreams? Will they rise up and join together? Or will these friends remain...

Shintaro wishes he had done more to stop the end of the world. His whole life's purpose was to keep the Abyss and Dark Magic in check, and he had failed from the day he was born. Dark Magic grew out of hand because he wasn't brave enough to stand up to his father all those years ago. Dark Magic grew out of hand because Shintaro was a coward. His only success in containing was just barely managing to put his father in a place of eternal darkness, and even that nearly killed him. That day, he stumbled back to his home, into the loving arms of his wife, not daring to tell her what had happened. He came up with a brilliant lie, one that he doesn't care to remember. After his father's defeat, his life went on smoothly. He was able to watch his children grow into wonderful young people. He was able to live as peacefully as the keeper of peace could. The only good thing that came out of that adventure was his new friends, the ones that he grew closer to over five years. But now his son is dead, it's his fault, and the boy who was like another son to him is gone. Simply because Shintaro was too cowardly to try to put up a fight against his father. He isn't going to lose anyone else. He's going to defeat his father once and for all. He is going to get Kai back.

"You are obviously not in your respective buildings, this is because this year things will be a little different, welcome to the Balance." In a world where three kingdoms worship three different gods, with three very different ideals. The kingdom of Soladach, values strength and bravery, the brawns. The Kingdom of Deas, values beauty. The kingdom of Kialmar, values wisdom and intelligence, the brains. In an unlikely alliance brains and brawns work together, because little Deas is not so little anymore. Adara Cliste, Princess of Kialmar, has been raised to be perfect; the blueprint of what a brain should be, even if it is all fake. She has never been particularly excited to attend the Nexus, but at least she has Atlas, right? When she arrives to the Nexus what she finds is not what she had anticipated, with an unknown war raging around them Adara is forced adapt at every turn. Not everything can be found in books, while learning to live in this world, she finds a lot of things hang in the balance. She is a Cliste, she will not falter. (This story is an interconnected standalone that I wrote with a friend. If you want to read her story reach out to me, hers follows Cahira, a really prominent character in this story, as she adapts and grows but from a brawns pov. Keep in mind that it is still in the throws of being edited and is still being written. Constructive criticism is appreciated and please point out any plot holes that you notice. :) )

*COMPLETE* There are whispers across the kingdoms that the Paragon, that strangely gifted person who can wield all four Skills, has been found. They're wrong, of course. No one has caught the Paragon. Allayria should know: she's it. But Allayria doesn't want to be the Paragon, and in her pursuit of freedom she finds herself enmeshed in a web of lies, caught in a group who might be even more dangerous than she could have imagined. Still, she's not the only one who has problems: bigger tides of change and danger are shifting across the world she has been assigned to protect. The Jarles, a kingdom in the east, has begun moving across its borders, and there are strange murmurings about what they have done, and where all the children they abducted have gone. Faced with responsibilities she never wanted, and a life she thought she could never have, Allayria must decide how she will help--and if she will be the Paragon at all. _____________________ WIP Cover art and written work by Azi.
