Lapis Lazuli was an orphan. She never knew love and affection until she got a boyfriend. However, that love didn't last for long as he turned into a raging abusive alcoholic.

Peridot Greene didn't care about anybody but herself. Her parents taught her to strive to be better than everyone around her. She had plans into becoming a computer technician and wouldn't do anything to stop it from coming true.

College roommates are supposed to be friends. They're supposed to stay up and gossip about the cute boy in their chemistry class. They're supposed to go out shopping and try on stylish clothes. Well, that isn't exactly Peridot and Lapis. Everything goes wrong with these two as roommates but they slowly find an unbearable attraction.
